Henning Berg: 'Pre-season vital for Manchester United's David Moyes'

Henning Berg believes that pre-season will be a crucial period for new Manchester United manager David Moyes.

Former Blackburn Rovers manager Henning Berg believes that Manchester United's pre-season tour will be a crucial period for new manager David Moyes.

The Scotsman will begin his reign at Old Trafford next week, and Berg believes that it is the perfect time for Moyes to get familiar with his new team.

"The most important thing is for David Moyes to get to know the players, work on his way of playing, his tactics and his football style," Berg told MUTV.

"And then you have got the last few games to actually do that before the season starts."

Moyes will also reportedly be handed the task of sorting out Wayne Rooney's future when he meets up with the unsettled striker next week.
