Anthony Martial back in France squad

Anthony Martial has been handed a call-up to the France squad for the first time since October 2016.

The 21-year-old had been out of favour under the leadership of France boss Didier Deschamps, but his form for Manchester United in the early stages of the 2017-18 campaign has seen him return to the fold.

Indeed, the attacker has scored four times in nine Premier League appearances for United this season, while he has also managed one goal in the Champions League.

A France international of 15 caps, Martial has not turned out for his country for over a year, but is in line to feature in the upcoming friendlies with Wales and Germany, which will take place on November 10 and November 14 respectively.

Arsenal trio Laurent Koscielny, Alexandre Lacazette and Olivier Giroud are also included, while there are first call-ups for Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi and Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard.
