Manchester United striker Robin van Persie ruled out for one month?

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is reportedly expected to be on the sidelines for three to four weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie could reportedly miss four weeks of action due to an ankle injury.

The Dutchman was spotted leaving Swansea City's Liberty Stadium last weekend on crutches and wearing a protective boot following his side's 2-1 defeat.

There has been no official diagnosis from the Red Devils, but according to the Daily Mail, the 31-year-old has damaged his ankle ligaments and could be on the treatment table for three to four weeks.

United manager Louis van Gaal is expected to address Van Persie's injury woe in tomorrow's press conference ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Sunderland at Old Trafford.

The striker, who has struggled with ankle problems over the course of the season, has scored 10 goals in the campaign so far.
