Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba will not return from injury in time for Manchester United's clash with AZ at Old Trafford in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Frenchman has been reduced to six appearances this season due to a foot injury sustained prior to the September international break.
Pogba returned to play 90 minutes against Rochdale and Arsenal in late September, but has not featured for the Red Devils since.
When asked about whether Pogba would return against AZ, Solskjaer told the Mirror: "No. It's too early yet. Yeah, we hope so [for Pogba to play before the end of 2019]. He's working hard to get fit so hopefully we can get him back on the pitch.
"Let's get Paul fit first and back in form and he'll play loads of games. For me he's one of the best players in the world and I'm looking forward to having him back."
United head into the game with AZ having already qualified for the knockout phase and needing only to avoid defeat to finish as group winners.
