Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho has the perfect chance to truly announce himself as Tottenham Hotspur manager by beating former club Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Sacked by the Red Devils in December 2018, the 55-year-old has enjoyed a perfect start at the North London club, winning three games in a row.

United, meanwhile, continue to struggle under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, managing just four wins from their opening 13 league games.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this fixture.

Following an operation on an elbow ligament problem in October, the Spurs captain is not expected to make a return to action until the new year.

Erik Lamela

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 7 (vs. Burnley)

Lamela was expected to return over the weekend, but Mourinho has since confirmed that the winger requires more time to fully recover from a thigh injury, meaning that he is unlikely to be risked at Old Trafford.

Michel Vorm

Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: December 7 (vs. Burnley)

The reserve keeper picked up a calf strain a couple of weeks ago and, despite the problem not being serious, will not be expected to return to action until next weekend.
