Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Southampton

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension issues ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Southampton.

Manchester United will be looking to make it five Premier League wins in a row when they welcome Southampton to Old Trafford on Monday night.

The Red Devils continued their excellent run of form with a 3-0 victory at Aston Villa on Thursday, with Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood and Paul Pogba on the scoresheet.

As it stands, United are fifth in the Premier League table, one point off fourth-placed Leicester City and two points behind third-placed Chelsea with four games left.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Southampton, who are currently 12th in the standings.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

Tuanzebe has not featured for United since December, having been on the sidelines with a hamstring problem in the early stages of 2020, and Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed ahead of the Bournemouth clash last weekend that the Englishman was unlikely to resume training until September.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Jones has not featured for United since January, and the central defender is "a few weeks" away from resuming training with the club, Solskjaer confirmed ahead of the Bournemouth match earlier this month. As a result, there is a chance that he could be on the sidelines for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for the fixture with the Saints.
