Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa score on their Manchester United home debuts to give Sir Alex Ferguson's side a comfortable half-time lead over Fulham at Old Trafford.

Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa have both marked their Manchester United home debuts by getting on the scoresheet in the first half against Fulham.

The Red Devils hold a comfortable lead at the break, despite falling a goal behind early on at Old Trafford.

Damien Duff fired the visitors ahead from eight yards following a cleverly-worked Bryan Ruiz free kick after three minutes.

United responded well to their early setback and were level just seven minutes later, as Van Persie hit a sweet left-footed volley into the top right corner following Patrice Evra's near-post cross.

Kagawa then fired his side ahead from close range on 35 minutes, before Rafael da Silva scored his first goal in three years to complete the first-half scoring six minutes later.
