Wayne Rooney returns to the Manchester United starting lineup for their FA Cup clash against Chelsea, who will have Demba Ba as their only striker.

Wayne Rooney has been recalled to the Manchester United starting lineup for their FA Cup quarter-final tie against Chelsea this afternoon.

The England international striker was left out of the Red Devils' Champions League last-16 second-leg clash against Real Madrid in midweek that ended in a 2-1 defeat.

Rooney will have Javier Hernandez as his strike-partner at Old Trafford today, as Dutchman Robin van Persie has been left out of the starting XI.

For Chelsea, Demba Ba is back in his role as the lone striker and Victor Moses is given the nod ahead of Eden Hazard to play alongside Juan Mata and Oscar as the creative midfielders.

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Kagawa, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani; Rooney, Hernandez

Chelsea: Cech; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Cole; Ramires, Lampard; Mata, Oscar, Moses; Ba
