Manchester United striker Robin van Persie urges caution ahead of the second leg of the team's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

Manchester United's Robin van Persie has admitted his side's advantage over Real Madrid is slender going into the second leg of their Champions League clash after drawing 1-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Dutch international said that he would have taken a draw ahead of the match and insisted he and his teammates will be ready for the home leg.

"We had a couple of chances and if you said we would have left here with a 1-1 at the beginning of it we'd have taken it. I thought it must have been a great game to watch," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"We have a slight advantage but at this kind of level it doesn't matter if it's home or away - it's half time now and we'll be ready for the second half."

Danny Welbeck headed United in front on the night but Cristiano Ronaldo struck against his former club to ensure the match ended in a draw.
