Sir Alex Ferguson: 'No stupid errors this time'

Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Manchester United will not repeat the mistakes that cost them in last season's Champions League.

Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that Manchester United will not repeat any of the mistakes that saw them eliminated in last season's Champions League group stages.

United have been drawn alongside Braga, Galatasaray and CFR Cluj.

The Red Devils failed to progress from their group last season, despite being expected to reach the latter stages of the competition.

"After the experience of last year, we don't want to make any stupid errors this time," Ferguson told the club's official website.

"We will play our strongest team to make sure we get through."

United also faced Portuguese opposition last season and were welcomed to Galatasaray in the mid-'90s with the infamous 'Welcome to Hell' banners.

Ferguson is confident that his side will be successful in the group.

He continued: "We have the experience of playing Galatasaray in the past and we will always remember the 'Welcome to Hell' banners. It will be a difficult place to go.

"We have drawn Portuguese clubs a number of times over the past few years so we have the experience of playing in Portugal."

United have never played Cluj before.

They will begin their campaign at home to Galatasaray on September 19.
