Yaya Toure: 'I'll definitely stay at Manchester City'

Yaya Toure insists that he will stay at Manchester City and that the fans "don't have to be worried", despite reports linking the midfielder to Inter Milan.

Yaya Toure has insisted that he will not leave Manchester City this summer, despite reported interest from Inter Milan.

Last month, the midfielder's agent Dimitri Seluk claimed that his client was "90% likely" to call an end to his City career this summer.

However, there has since been a U-turn and Seluk was recently quoted as saying that the club's owner Sheikh Mansour convinced the Ivorian to stay put at the Etihad Stadium.

Now, in an interview with the Manchester Evening News, Toure has reiterated his desire to remain with the former Premier League champions.

"I will definitely stay," said Toure. "The fans don't have to be worried. My target this year is to try to do everything possible to make this team improve well and I am sure with my experience, maybe I hope, with the players coming in a couple of weeks, a couple of months, definitely it is going to be a strong City next year."

The 32-year-old has been a City player since joining from Barcelona in 2010.
