Manchester City are reportedly preparing to offer Raheem Sterling a new five-year deal worth £275,000 a week.

Manchester City are reportedly planning to offer Raheem Sterling a lucrative new contract worth £275,000 a week amid rumoured interest from Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old still has two-and-a-half years remaining on the five-year deal he signed when he moved from Liverpool to City in 2015 - a contract thought to be worth £180,000 a week in wages.

The Premier League leaders have already tied down the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva to new contracts in recent weeks, with the former now thought to be pocketing £260,000 a week, and The Mirror claims that Sterling is next in line to be rewarded.

The newspaper says that City have yet to open talks with the England international's representatives but are prepared to offer him a new five-year deal complete with a basic £220,000-a-week salary, with bonuses pushing the figure up to around £275,000.

Sterling has been a key part of City's push on all four fronts this season, with 18 goals to his name to date.
