Norwich City are reportedly close to securing the loan signing of Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts.

Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts will reportedly spend next season on loan at Norwich City.

The North-West giants signed Roberts from Fulham in 2015 and since then the playmaker has spent several loan periods away from the Etihad Stadium.

Roberts has just one year remaining on his contract, and The Sun claims that the Premier League champions are happy for the 22-year-old to spend that final year at Norwich.

The report says that the two clubs are close to agreeing terms, with the England Under-21 international being provided with the opportunity to make an impression in England's top flight.

Roberts was restricted to just six starts and 13 substitute outings at Spanish side Girona this season.
