Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is reportedly set to reunite with his former Blaugrana teammate Luis Suarez in the United States after 2022.
Suarez departed in acrimonious circumstances for Atletico Madrid over the summer, a move that Messi has since dubbed "crazy" - with La Liga table-toppers Atletico boasting an eight-point lead over Barca at this stage.
Messi is about to enter the final six months of his Camp Nou deal and is expected to move on next year, with Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain thought to be the Argentine's most likely destinations.
However, journalist Xavi Campos reports that Messi and Suarez are both eyeing an eventual move to Inter Miami, although the duo do not plan to move to the MLS for another couple of years.
Inter Miami - co-owned by David Beckham - have already welcomed some big-name players such as Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi to the States since their inception back in 2018.
While Messi's contract at Barcelona is up in the summer, presidential candidate Joan Laporta has expressed optimism over the club's chances of convincing the six-time Ballon d'Or winner to stay put.
