Barcelona's Lionel Messi is reportedly preparing to break his silence on his future during an interview with an Argentinian newspaper this weekend.

Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi is reportedly set to lift the lid on his future during an interview with an Argentinian newspaper this weekend.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is yet to agree to an extension on his current Blaugrana deal, meaning that his glittering stint with the club will come to an end in just over a months' time.

Messi has given very little away regarding his future after trying and failing to force a move away last summer, but recent reports have hinted that he could be convinced to stay at the club by president Joan Laporta.

Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that Messi will break his silence when he speaks to Argentinian newspaper Ole this weekend, which will be his first media appearance since the turn of the year.

Manager Ronald Koeman is desperate to see the Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain linked attacker pen fresh terms with the club, but his interview comes at a time where Barcelona are supposedly willing to consider offers for every player in order to reduce their €1bn debt.

Messi is set to scoop the Pichichi Trophy with 30 goals in 35 La Liga games this season, as Barcelona finish their league campaign against relegated Eibar on Saturday evening.
