Sevilla defender Jules Kounde has admitted that he would have been interested in a move to Manchester City this summer.
The 21-year-old was one of a number of centre-backs considered by Pep Guardiola's side during the recent transfer window, along with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Jose Gimenez and Ruben Dias.
Man City eventually went for the latter, bringing him in for a club-record £64m, but Kounde was flattered by the Premier League outfit's interest.
"It's part of my progression and I'm doing whatever it takes to make it happen," the France Under-21 international told Canal+.
"I was obviously happy [with City's interest]. It would have been a good opportunity, but I'm in Seville and I'm very happy there."
Kounde made 40 appearances during his debut season with Sevilla, having joined from Bordeaux last summer.
