Erling Braut Haaland recently held talks with agent Mino Raiola to discuss his next career move, according to a report.
The Norway international is understood to possess a £63m release clause in his Borussia Dortmund deal and is widely expected to be on the move when it activates in the summer.
Manchester City and Real Madrid are now thought to be in a two-horse race for Haaland, with the Premier League champions supposedly at the head of the queue for the striker.
With speculation over his future hotting up, Ruhr Nachrichten - via Sport - claims that Haaland made the trip to Monaco to talk with Raiola after last weekend's Der Klassiker loss to Bayern Munich.
The report also adds that interested parties only have until April 30 to trigger Haaland's release clause, after which they will be forced to negotiate with Dortmund.
The 21-year-old has 25 goals and eight assists to his name from 27 games in all tournaments this season and has just over two years left to run on his deal with the Black and Yellow.
Haaland's international teammate Martin Odegaard recently joked that his compatriot should move to Arsenal if he decides on a Premier League switch this summer.
