John Guidetti grateful for Stoke City switch

Manchester City striker John Guidetti thanks Stoke City for signing him on loan for the rest of the season.

John Guidetti has thanked Stoke City for signing him on loan from Manchester City.

The Swedish striker, 21, joined the Potters on Tuesday in a deal that is due to run until the end of the season.

"It's fantastic to be here, and I am so grateful to the club for giving me the opportunity to show everybody I am capable of playing at this level," Guidetti told Stoke's official website.

"Once I knew of the interest, and had spoken to Mark Hughes, it was an easy decision for me to make to be honest. The club have showed a lot of belief in me, and have made me feel wanted."

Guidetti signed professional terms with City in 2008 but has made just one senior appearance for the club.
