Pep Guardiola is reportedly happy with his Manchester City squad and has informed director of football Txiki Begiristain that no new signings are required in January.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has no plans to delve into the transfer market in the New Year as he is happy with his current squad, according to a report.

The Catalan coach has seen his side make an impressive start to the campaign, despite a current three-game winless run in all competitions that has halted momentum.

Guardiola will soon be able to call upon Brazilian ace Gabriel Jesus, who was loaned straight back to Palmeiras for six months upon signing for the Citizens in a £27m deal during the summer.

The Mirror claims that director of football Txiki Begiristain has been informed that no new faces are required, which rules out a move for Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci until at least the end of the season.

Guardiola spent £180m on new talent to bolster his squad when taking over earlier this year, but the likes of Marlos Moreno, Geronimo Rulli, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jesus have all been sent out on loan.
