Wayne Bridge is reportedly traveling to Sunderland to complete a medical ahead of a loan move to the Black Cats.

Manchester City outcast Wayne Bridge is reportedly on his way to the North East to have a medical with Sunderland ahead of a proposed loan move.

The former England international, who hasn't featured for Roberto Mancini's side since his loan spell at West Ham United came to an end last year, emerged as a target for Martin O'Neill.

It is understood that the 31-year-old will be joining the Black Cats for the rest of the season as he is scheduled to undergo a medical today, according to Sky Sports News.

It is believed that part of Bridge's £85,000-a-week wages will be paid by Man City.
