Bayern Munich have reportedly now made an official offer for Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane.
Earlier this week, Bayern boss Niko Kovac said that he was "confident" of completing a deal for the Germany international before this summer's transfer window closes for business.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions have submitted an official bid for the 23-year-old as they look to complete a deal ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Sane, who scored 16 times and registered 18 assists in 47 appearances for the Citizens last term, will see his current deal at the Etihad Stadium expire in the summer of 2021.
City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that there is a new contract on the table for the attacker, but Bayern could bring the winger back to Germany before the end of the window.
Der FCB, who lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Audi Cup on Wednesday, released both Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at the end of last season.
