Sergio Aguero responds to Real Madrid rumours

Man City hitman Sergio Aguero pours cold water on rumours linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Sergio Aguero has rubbished suggestions that he could leave Manchester City, amid speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

Earlier today it was reported that the Blancos' president Florentino Perez had placed the Argentine striker top of the club's summer shortlist of transfer targets.

However, the 27-year-old, who won the Premier League's Golden Boot with 26 goals last season, is content with life at Eastlands.

One major trophy that has eluded Aguero - who has helped City to two league titles - during his time at the club is the Champions League, and he admits that it is a "big dream" to lift the trophy with the Sky Blues.

"The only reason a player should leave a club is to achieve things, and I can achieve all I want to at City," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"I can't stop rumours. I can't stop people writing things. But what I can do is repeat what I have already said, and that is that I'm very happy at Manchester City.

"I have had success over the last four seasons there and I'm hungry for a lot more. Of course the Premier League is a big priority and we want to win it back, but it is a big dream to win the Champions League at City as well."

Aguero, who joined from Atletico Madrid in 2011, is contracted until 2019.
