Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bournemouth

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Manchester City will be bidding to return to winning ways after back-to-back draws when they travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Pep Guardiola's side were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest in the Premier League last weekend before the same scoreline occurred in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League affair with RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

The Citizens are second in the table, two points behind leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand, while they are only three points ahead of third-placed Manchester United in England's top flight.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Bournemouth, who currently sit down in 17th position in the table.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

John Stones has been on the sidelines since suffering a hamstring injury in the FA Cup fourth-round win over Arsenal on January 27, and the centre-back remains unavailable for selection.

Aymeric Laporte

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Bournemouth)

Aymeric Laporte was absent against Leipzig in the Champions League due to an illness, but the centre-back could be back in the fold this weekend.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Minor doubt

Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Bournemouth)

Like Laporte, Kevin De Bruyne did not feature against Leipzig due to an illness, so the Belgian will need to be assessed before a final decision on his involvement this weekend is made.
