David Silva and Leroy Sane, who began Sunday's 2-1 win at Huddersfield Town, miss out on a starting spot, with the latter not even among the substitutes.

Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan take Silva and Sane's places as the Citizens seek to win a 12th league game in a row.

Southampton, meanwhile, have made five changes from the team that beat Everton 4-1 on Sunday.

Maya Yoshida, Oriol Romeu, Mario Lemina, Nathan Redmond and Shane Long replace Steven Davis, Charlie Austin, Dusan Tadic, Sofiane Boufal and James Ward-Prowse, who does not even make the bench.
