Kevin De Bruyne starts among the substitutes as Manchester City welcome Hull City.

Kevin De Bruyne starts among the substitutes as Manchester City welcome relegation battlers Hull City to the Etihad this afternoon.

City boss Pep Guardiola makes four changes in all following the 2-1 defeat at league leaders Chelsea on Wednesday, with De Bruyne and skipper Vincent Kompany both dropping down to the bench.

Claudio Bravo returns between the sticks in place of Wilfredo Caballero, while Aleksandar Kolarov comes into the back four alongside Jesus Navas, John Stones and Gael Clichy.

Fabian Delph continues in a holding role in front of the backline, while Yaya Toure and Raheem Sterling return to the midfield, joining up with David Silva and Leroy Sane as attacking support for lone striker Sergio Aguero.

As for the Tigers, Marco Silva makes two changes to the side that claimed three valuable points on Wednesday with a 4-2 victory over fellow relegation candidates Middlesbrough.

Harry Maguire picked up a knock against Boro, meaning a recall for skipper Michael Dawson in the heart of the defence alongside Ahmed Elmohamady, Andrea Ranocchia and Andrew Robertson.

The midfield four of Lazar Markovic, Alfred N'Diaye, Sam Clucas and Kamil Grosicki continue unchanged, while Evandro is preferred to Abel Hernandez as partner for Oumar Niasse up front.

Manchester City: Bravo; Clichy, Stones, Navas, Kolarov; Delph; Toure, Sterling, Silva, Sane; Aguero
Subs: Caballero, Kompany, Zabaleta, Fernando, Nolito, De Bruyne, Iheanacho

Hull City: Jakupovic; Elmohamady, Ranocchia, Dawson, Robertson, Dawson; Markovic, N'Diaye, Clucas, Grosicki; Evandro, Niasse
