How Manchester City could line up against Leicester City

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Manchester City will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League victories when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City in Saturday's late start.

Pep Guardiola's side beat West Ham United 2-0 on Wednesday night to consolidate second spot in the table, now four points clear of third-placed Leicester.

The reigning champions are still 22 points behind runaway leaders Liverpool, though, and will follow Saturday's clash with the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie against Real Madrid.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Citizens could line up this weekend.

City will again be without the services of injured forwards Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, while David Silva is expected to miss out with the knock that he picked up against West Ham.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is available having served a one-game ban against the Hammers, though, and it would not be a surprise to see the Ukraine international return to the team at left-back.

The upcoming clash with Madrid means that Guardiola is likely to shuffle his pack for this match, with Joao Cancelo, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan all in line to feature.

Fernandinho could also return in central defence, but Aymeric Laporte is unlikely to be risked ahead of the trip to the Bernabeu with the Frenchman only recently back from a long-term knee injury.

Guardiola is expected to resist the temptation to rest the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero, though, with Leicester sure to provide tough opposition at the King Power Stadium.
