Yaya Toure escapes FA action

The Football Association opts not to ban Yaya Toure, despite the fact that he appeared to kick Ricky van Wolfswinkel in the back at the weekend.

The Football Association has confirmed that Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure will not face any punishment for his conduct during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Norwich City.

As the match drew to a close at Carrow Road, the Ivorian appeared to kick Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel in the back.

The alleged offence was missed by referee Jon Moss, but having reviewed the incident, the FA has informed City that the 30-year-old will not have to serve a ban.

Earlier today, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had urged the governing body to suspend Toure.ID:136857: cacheID:136857:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1861:No Data Analysis info
