Pep Guardiola reportedly indicates that he is prepared to extend his contract at Manchester City until 2025.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly intends to remain at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

When Jurgen Klopp penned a new long-term contract at Liverpool last month, speculation intensified over whether Guardiola would look to do the same with his current terms due to expire at the end of next season.

The Spaniard has refused to give much away publicly, only indicating that he remains happy in his position, but it appears that the 51-year-old wants to stay in the City dugout in the long term.

According to the Daily Star, Guardiola has already told chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak that he has no plans to depart the club for a number of years.

While Guardiola has won eight pieces of silverware since his arrival in 2016, City are still waiting for him to deliver a Champions League crown, the club experiencing their biggest disappointment yet earlier this week.

Nevertheless, despite throwing away a place in the final during the closing minutes of their tie with Real Madrid, the report says that Guardiola is determined to win the trophy before his departure.
