Pep Guardiola: 'Claudio Bravo ready for Manchester City debut'

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists that Claudio Bravo has the experience to cope with debuting in Saturday's Manchester derby.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he has no concerns over handing Claudio Bravo his debut in Saturday's derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Bravo joined Man City from Barcelona on August 25 and after recovering from "a problem in his leg", the Chilean will make his debut for his new club against Man United this weekend.

Guardiola has insisted that the 33-year-old has the experience to deal with the occasion after playing 75 times for Barcelona before replacing Joe Hart and Willy Caballero as Man City's new number one.

"Claudio is okay, he had a little bit of a problem in his leg but he's trained the last two days. Bravo is fit and ready - he's 32, 33 years old - he has experience. No problem with that. He has to save the goals," Guardiola told reporters.

Man City paid £17m to bring Bravo to the Etihad this summer.
