Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden could reportedly be set for a recall to the England setup following the 20-year-old's troublesome time in Iceland.
Alongside fellow youngster Mason Greenwood, Foden was sent home from the last England squad after the pair breached coronavirus protocols by inviting two Icelandic girls to their hotel.
Foden did not feature for England in October's matches against Wales, Belgium and Denmark as a result, but the Englishman has since impressed for Man City under Pep Guardiola both domestically and in the Champions League.
According to The Mirror, Southgate believes that Foden has learned his lesson and he is sure to select the midfielder in his next squad, which will be named on Thursday.
However, the report claims that Greenwood may not share the same fate owing to his lack of starts for the Red Devils recently, although the 19-year-old did open the scoring against RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek.
Foden boasts three goals and two assists for City across all competitions in the 2020-21 campaign.
