Former Manchester City player Mike Doyle has passed away, aged 64.
Doyle, who earned five caps for England, had undergone several weeks of treatment at Tameside Hospital but ultimately died of liver failure.
Primarily a defender, Doyle scored 32 goals in 448 appearances for the Blues. After leaving the club in 1978 he went on to play for Stoke, Bolton and Rochdale.
He is survived by wife Cheryl, his four children and six grandchildren.
