Joe Hart is selected in goal for the visitors, while Joleon Lescott and Aleksandar Kolarov come into defence.

James Milner, Javi Garcia, Jack Rodwell, Jesus Navas and Edin Dzeko are also recalled by manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Marcin Wasilewski, Andy King, Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Ignasi Miquel all start for the hosts, who make a total of four changes.

Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and David Silva keep their places following Saturday's 6-3 win over Arsenal in the Premier League.
