Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been named in Belgium's squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Andorra and Israel, despite having a calf injury.
The 29-year-old has missed City's last four games due to the injury that he suffered during his side's 2-1 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League last month.
Despite manager Manuel Pellegrini claiming that Kompany is unlikely to return to full fitness until after the international break, Belgium boss Marc Wilmots has included the defender in the squad.
Kompany has been ruled out of Saturday's match against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.
