Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Everton

Sports Mole rounds up all of Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Monday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Manchester City will be looking to make it three Premier League victories in a row when they continue their 2020-21 campaign away to Everton on Monday night.

Pep Guardiola's side recorded a 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Boxing Day courtesy of goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres.

The three points moved the Citizens into fifth position in the table, five points behind leaders Liverpool, and the former champions will be eyeing another victory ahead of a trip to Chelsea on January 3.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Everton, who are currently second in the table.

Possible return date: Unknown

City announced on Christmas Day that Gabriel Jesus was one of two players - the other being Kyle Walker - to test positive for coronavirus. As a result, the Brazil international will again be unavailable against Everton.

Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: Unknown

Kyle Walker, like Jesus, has entered a period of self-isolation after returning a positive test for coronavirus, meaning that he will be unavailable for the club's next few matches.

Eric Garcia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: January 3 (vs. Chelsea)

Eric Garcia is City's only injury concern at the moment, with the centre-back still on the sidelines with the muscular problem he picked up in the win over Marseille on December 9. The issue is not believed to be serious, though, and he could be available for the clash with Chelsea on January 3.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players suspended for this match.
