Real Madrid are reportedly confident about their chances of striking a deal for Manchester City starlet Phil Foden.
The England international is regarded as one of the best prospects in the Premier League, but Foden has found starts hard to come by under Pep Guardiola recently.
The midfielder still has three-and-a-half years left to run on his current City deal, and despite starting five of City's six Champions League group-stage matches, Foden has only made the first XI on five occasions in the 2020-21 Premier League.
According to The Mirror, Real Madrid are strong admirers of Foden and are prepared to pounce if the youngster's situation at the Etihad Stadium does not improve.
The report claims that Foden is growing increasingly frustrated with his time on the bench at Man City, and Madrid are set to swoop regardless of whether or not Zinedine Zidane is at the helm.
Foden has amassed five goals and four assists for Guardiola's side in all competitions this season, but he has only started one of City's last nine Premier League games.
