Mario Balotelli named in Italy's Euro 2012 squad

Mario Balotelli makes Italy's final 23-man Euro 2012 squad, as does Leonardo Bonucci despite the Juventus defender being caught up in the latest match fixing scandal.

Controversial Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has been named in Italy's final 23-man squad for Euro 2012.

Coach Cesare Prandelli originally selected a 32-man provisional party but was forced to cut that to 25 on Monday and by a further two players today.

The unfortunate duo to miss out are Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia and Siena striker Mattia Destro.

Despite reportedly being under investigation for match fixing, Juventus centre-half Leonardo Bonucci will travel to Poland and Ukraine.

Zenit St. Petersburg full-back Domenico Criscito was yesterday omitted from the squad after being implicated in the scandal.
