Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben and Toni Kroos will both miss the final Champions League group game against Manchester City through illness.

Both players have been sidelined due to flu, and will stay in Germany to recuperate ahead of this weekend's Bundesliga game against Stuttgart.

Even though the German side have already progressed, captain Phillip Lahm is determined to claim three points.

"We can approach the game with a certain amount of calm, but we will do everything to ensure that we come home with the points," Lahm told the club's official site.

"We are athletes and want to win every game."

Bayern Munich travel to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night.
