Alain Traore could be out for up to six weeks after a scan revealed his injury to be a lesion in his left quadriceps.

Lorient midfielder Alain Traore could face up to six weeks out following the injury he sustained at the Africa Cup of Nations for Burkina Faso against Zambia last week.

Traore returned to France for a scan on the injury, which has now been confirmed as a deep lesion in his left quadriceps.

According to Ligue1.com the lesion is six centimetres in length. The recovery time for this type of tear is up to six weeks.

Traore has scored six goals in 13 league games for Lorient this season.
