Injury-hit West Ham United are said to be determined to recruit a striker ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The Hammers are aiming to complete the signing of either Tottenham Hotspur's Emmanuel Adebayor or Simone Zaza of Juventus in the coming days, reports The Mirror.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is short on match-fit strikers, with Andy Carroll, Mauro Zarate and Enner Valencia still sidelined and Diafra Sakho picking up a groin injury last weekend.
The injury crisis could also put Modibo Maiga's proposed move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on hold until Bilic has brought in an additional forward.
