Luis Suarez's imminent move to Barcelona from Liverpool has reportedly been halted due to differences over pay structure between the two clubs.
The Catalan giants are said to have no issue with paying the prolific striker's release clause, which is said to be in the region of £75m.
While the fee is not a problem, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are demanding that they receive the cash up front, while Barca chiefs have offered to transfer the money over in stages.
Reports have claimed that the former La Liga champions are keen on implementing a performance-related payment structure to Liverpool for the striker, who is currently serving a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup in Brazil.
Alexis Sanchez was initially put forward as a possible makeweight in the deal, but reports have claimed that Liverpool have given up on trying to sign the Chile international, who is said to be keen on a move to Arsenal.
