Gerard Deulofeu: Luis Suarez would be "great signing"

Barcelona midfielder Gerard Deulofeu admits that Luis Suarez would be a "great signing" for Barcelona this summer.

Gerard Deulofeu has admitted that Luis Suarez would be a "great signing" for Barcelona this summer.

The midfielder faced the Liverpool striker, who has been linked with a move to Camp Nou, during his season-long loan with Everton last year.

The 20-year-old told Mundo Deportivo: "Yes, they are the best players, but I am very confident in myself, I think much of my chances and I work every day hoping to get my challenges. For now I'm on vacation. What you have to do is work hard and do what the coach decides.

"I think [Suarez] is a very interesting player. For me it is one of the best strikers in the world, and if true he would just be a great signing."

Suarez is currently serving a four-month ban for biting an opponent.
