Roma are reportedly considering a summer move for Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren.
The 30-year-old has only made 14 appearances for the Reds during the 2019-20 campaign and as it stands will be out of contract at Anfield next summer.
The Croatia international is widely expected to seek pastures new ahead of the 2020-21 season, and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are weighing up a swoop.
The report claims that the Italian giants view the 2018 World Cup finalist as a more affordable option than Manchester United's Chris Smalling, who has spent the current season on loan at the club.
Roma allegedly believe that their strong relationship with the European champions will mean that they will be able to sign Lovren in a cut-price deal considering his contract situation.
The centre-back has made 184 appearances for Liverpool since a 2014 move from Southampton.
