Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly preparing to sell Karim Benzema in order to fund a move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer.
Benzema, who has been with Los Blancos since 2009, has scored 23 times during a successful season under the stewardship of Ancelotti.
However, according to reports in Italy, Madrid are prepared to sanction the sale of Benzema in order to free up transfer funds for leading summer target Suarez.
The Uruguayan international has scored 30 times in 30 league games in England this season and is widely expected to pick up the Player of the Year Award in the Premier League.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will consider anything less than a world-record offer for their star striker, but Madrid are believed to be confident of acquiring his signature.
