Report: Glen Johnson won't be offered new Liverpool deal

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson won't be offered a new contract by the club as he enters the final year of his deal at Anfield, according to a report.

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson will not be offered a new contract by the club, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal at Anfield on reported wages of £110,000 a week.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to let Johnson leave the club on a free transfer next year as he is not willing to commit long-term resources on the England international, reports the Daily Star.

Johnson made 30 appearances for Liverpool last season.
