Everton have reportedly moved ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Barcelona attacker Adama Traore on loan in January.
The 18-year-old is seen as one of Barca's brightest talents and netted his first senior goal for the club against Huesca last week.
According to The Metro, Everton and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in taking the teenager on loan, but Everton are said to lead the race.
A number of Spanish clubs are also interested in a loan move, but it is understood that Barca want the forward to head abroad.
Traore, who has represented Spain at youth level, joined Barcelona at the age of eight.
