Manchester City's Raheem Sterling is open to a future return to Liverpool, according to a report.

Manchester City's Raheem Sterling has reportedly not ruled out a return to Liverpool in the future.

The England international departed Anfield in controversial circumstances at the end of the 2014-15 season and has since registered 89 goals in 230 appearances across all competitions for City.

However, a member of Sterling's entourage has reportedly spoken to L'Equipe regarding the 25-year-old's future, saying: "Even if Raheem is attached to Manchester City, he hasn't forgotten Liverpool, because that's where he became who he is as a man and as a player.

"Of course, there was controversy surrounding his exit, but since then, time has run its course and everything is possible."

Sterling, who has won two Premier League titles and one FA Cup during his time at the Etihad, will see his current contract with Pep Guardiola's side expire in 2023.
