Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has admitted that he 'wants to play in Spain' at some point in the future.
The Argentina has spent a year-and-a-half at Anfield after he joined Liverpool from Brighton & Hove Albion for an initial £35m.
Mac Allister established himself as a regular fixture in the Liverpool side during his first season on Merseyside, contributing seven goals and seven assists in 46 competitive appearances.
The 25-year-old has continued to play a key role under Arne Slot, having started 17 of his 19 appearances across the Premier League and Champions League this season.
While Mac Allister may be regarded as a key player at Anfield, he has seemingly opened the door to a potential departure at some stage of his career.

Mac Allister reveals La Liga dream
The 2022 World Cup winner has admitted that he would like to play in La Liga in the future but stressed that he is currently happy at Liverpool.
"Yes, why not?" Mac Allister replied when asked by AS whether he thinks he will play in Spain at one point of his career.
"It's a country I like a lot and I've visited it several times, and, above all, because of the language and the culture, it's very similar to Argentina.
"I would definitely like to play in Spain one day. But right now, I'm very comfortable at Liverpool and I don't think about what might happen in the future."

Which Spanish club could sign Mac Allister?
There are no signs to suggest that Mac Allister is looking to depart in the near future, especially with his Liverpool contract set to run until the summer of 2028.
However, if he looks to complete a move to La Liga in the future, Real Madrid are likely to be at the front of the queue to secure his signature.
Los Blancos have previously been linked with the 25-year-old and are keen to strengthen their midfield following Toni Kroos' retirement at the end of last season.
Real Madrid's rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid could be the only two other La Liga clubs that would realistically be in a position to sign Mac Allister.
However, it is currently unclear whether Barcelona or Atleti would be interested in signing the Liverpool midfielder.
