Liverpool defender Ben Davies is reportedly undergoing a medical at Sheffield United ahead of a season-long loan deal this summer.
The Blades agreed to sign the 26-year-old temporarily on Saturday and the transfer could be completed this week.
According to Sky Sports News, Davies underwent his medical on Monday, with manager Slavisa Jokanovic hoping the centre-back will be available to feature on Wednesday night against West Bromwich Albion.
The reports also states that the Championship club are close to completing a loan move for former Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira from Sampdoria within the next 24 hours.
Davies moved to Anfield from Preston North End in January during a period when the Reds were struggling with injuries to centre-backs Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.
The Englishman featured on 129 occasions in the second tier of English football during his time at Preston.
