Liverpool 'willing to pay for Divock Origi's early return from Lille'

Liverpool are reportedly willing to pay Lille an additional sum to release Divock Origi from his loan move following Daniel Sturridge's latest injury blow.

Liverpool are reportedly desperate to bring Divock Origi to Anfield following Daniel Sturridge's latest injury blow.

The Merseyside outfit are expected to be without the England international for a further six weeks after he suffered a thigh problem during his return from a previous injury.

Liverpool had already been linked with a January swoop for Origi, who signed for the Reds in the summer and returned to Lille for a season-long loan, but the forward's services are said to be in desperate need at Anfield.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Premier League club are willing to pay 'whatever it takes' to get Origi to the club prior to his arranged summer arrival.

It is believed that Liverpool, who paid £10m to sign the Belgian, may have to hand over an additional £3m to the French club in order to get their wish.

The Reds are currently 11th in the league table after clinching just four victories in 11 games.
