Liverpool are said to be stepping up their pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach starlet Mahmoud Dahoud.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning to table a £26m offer for the Germany Under-21 international in January, according to the Die Express.
Monchengladbach's attempts to lock the 20-year-old into a long-term contract are said to have stalled, with Dahoud having featured in only half of the team's matches this season.
Reports suggest that Klopp expressed interest in signing the Syrian-born playmaker during the summer and sent scouts to watch him when Monchengladbach took on Manchester City in the Champions League.
