Liverpool 'to step up Mahmoud Dahoud pursuit'

Reports suggest that Liverpool could table a £25m bid for Borussia Monchengladbach starlet Mahmoud Dahoud in January.

Liverpool are said to be stepping up their pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach starlet Mahmoud Dahoud.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning to table a £26m offer for the Germany Under-21 international in January, according to the Die Express.

Monchengladbach's attempts to lock the 20-year-old into a long-term contract are said to have stalled, with Dahoud having featured in only half of the team's matches this season.

Reports suggest that Klopp expressed interest in signing the Syrian-born playmaker during the summer and sent scouts to watch him when Monchengladbach took on Manchester City in the Champions League.
